However, today French bulldogs are rather charming, wonderful companions and loyal friends of a person.

It pays to buy French Bulldogs if you want to get an affectionate and gentle pet, equally kind to kids and adults. Dogs easily master not only general training, but also a variety of tricks, are smart and sociable.

History Of Origin

The French Bulldog is a breed that appeared in the XIX century and spread quite quickly across European countries. Contrary to the name, its historical homeland is not France at all.

These charming companions were bred on the territory of England, taking into account the needs of the urban craft class, who did not want to give up keeping pets in their small apartments. In the XIX century, they were considered companions of white seamstresses, merchants and other representatives of the wage labor sphere.

It was only in 1880 that bulldogs became truly French, the main breeding stock of these small companions was concentrated in France. It was then that the dogs got their modern name of French Bulldog.

After the crisis for the world economy of the 30s of the XX century, the popularity of these dogs declined. However, today they are not even among the top twenty favorites among companions, but they retain a certain demand among true connoisseurs of their unusual beauty.
